Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I enquire for your pricing and availability?

You can drop me an email at Jemmas@me.com with your wedding date, location, services required and time that you need to be ready by. I will reply within 48 hours usually.

Can you cater for Vegans and do you use cruelty free products?

Yes! I am passionate about sustainable makeup and hair products that are built to last and not tested in any way on animals. Please do let me know if you are Vegan and I can ensure all of my products and tools are completely vegan friendly.

Do you offer trial runs ? How do they work?

Yes – I offer bridal trials so that we can work together to come up with your perfect wedding day look. During the trial, we will collaborate and discuss styles you love / dislike and any preferences you may have ( don’t worry – I have heard it all!). I aim to make you feel as comfortable and confident as you possibly can ahead of the big day, to remove any worries or nerves around hair and makeup styling.

How long does hair and makeup take on the wedding day?

This totally depends on many factors such as hair density and makeup styles chosen. As a rule of thumb, most brides are in my chair for 45 minutes per service. Therefore, hair and makeup, if booked together will be around 1 hour and 30 minutes. The hair and makeup is built to last all day and night – that requires careful building and curation for longevity.

Do you travel?

I do. I have travelled all over the midlands and have done destination weddings in Europe too. Travel outside of my locality is charged at 50p per mile round trip.

Can you follow the curly girl method?

I sure can. I have lots of experience with curly gals and am happy to repeat your natural curls. I am realistic and ask brides to be open minded. I will need to use product and heat but will use it sparsely.

Do you support disabled or Neurodivergent brides (e.g., Autism, ADHD, sensory sensitivities)?

As a trained and registered Occupational Therapist (my pandemic retrain “just in case!” profession), I feel these are questions that should not need to be asked , however, many people do worry about them. For complete transparency, my son has a Neurodivergence and I am happy to accommodate any person. Physical, behavioural or sensory differences do not phase me AT ALL. I am happy to join in the specialist subject discussions , or offer quiet appointments where we sit quietly and I do my thing. I have worked with clients who require reasonable adjustments and I am more than happy and willing to do whatever it takes to make you feel most comfortable.
