Trials

Wedding hair and makeup trials in Leicestershire

A bridal trial is the perfect way to test your hair and makeup look before the big day, so we can make sure everything feels comfortable, looks amazing, and suits your wedding style. The trial usually lasts around 90 minutes, and it’s a relaxed, friendly session where we can try a look, with tweaks until you feel totally confident.

What happens at the bridal trial?

At your trial, we’ll create your bridal hair and makeup look together. You can bring inspiration photos, your favourite products, and any accessories you’re thinking of wearing on the day. I’ll work with you to find the style that suits you best and make any adjustments until it feels perfect.

Do you offer hair or makeup trials for brides booking a singular service?

I do. I have lots of brides who prefer to just book hairstyling or makeup with me. This advice page is to cover all trials, so please scroll to the relevant parts.

How to prepare for the trial:

To make sure we get the most out of your session, here are a few simple things to prepare:

Setup

Please have a space available with:

• A chair and table near natural light

• An accessible plug socket for my kit

Hair preparation

• Hair should be clean and completely dry

• Minimal or no product

• Follow your usual hair washing routine (daily or every other day)

• If you have accessories, a veil, or jewellery you’re considering, please have them ready

Skin preparation

• Try to exfoliate a few days before to remove dead skin

• Come with a bare face (only moisturiser if you use one)

• If you prefer to wear makeup, that’s fine too, I can remove it

• If you have skin sensitivities or allergies, please let me know in advance

Waxing, facials and lashes advice:

If you’re planning any waxing or facials, please make sure they’re done at least 4 days before your trial.

If you’re planning on having false lashes applied at the trial, avoid lash lifts beforehand, as they can affect lash placement.

What to wear

To get the most accurate impression of your bridal makeup, wear a white, cream or beige top. It’s not essential, but it does help to see the finished look properly. Most importantly, be comfortable!

Inspiration and products

If you have a couple of inspiration photos, please bring them along – visuals really help me to understand what you love and give us discussion points.

If you have a favourite lipstick shade or makeup product, feel free to bring it too, and I’ll happily incorporate it if possible.

Trial etiquette & planning

If you’re feeling unwell or experiencing cold symptoms, please get in touch as soon as possible to rearrange. As I’m self-employed, short-notice cancellations can impact my ability to work and may mean I miss another bride’s big day, so your consideration is greatly appreciated.

📞 Tel: 07712 133504

If you’d like to have a guest with you, please limit it to one person so the space stays comfortable and focused. I am super friendly and promise to put you at ease with a relaxed approach and your views as the focus of my work.

After the trial

Take plenty of photos in different lighting so you can see how your hair and makeup looks throughout the day. If you’d like any adjustments, feel free to share your feedback – I am happy to make changes for the wedding day to make sure you feel your absolute best and most confident
